Andy update, via email to Liz Stitt

This was my email back to her today, in response to her telling me more details as to why things ended with the guy she was dating (also met on Tinder, haha), and her enquiring about Andy and what are the top 5 things that attract me to him.

Hm. That seems weird. I'm so sorry he wasn't willing the try more and that things didn't work out. I really thought something might with him. He sounds great, but he must not be that great if he's not still dating the Liz Stitt. His loss. So sorry. How are you doing with it now?

Andy..he is a really great guy, he has great media morals, likes rock climbing and has taken me a couple times, he's smart, driven, is very spiritually sound, treats me really well, and smells awesome. There's seven. :) He is a really great person. And things are going fine. Still just not sure what will happen or for how  long we will date. I'm really comfortable with him, and like I said, he treats me really well, I just feel like that spark is not quite there for me as much as I sometimes wish it was. I think just personality differences. But we keep dating because I don't feel like it needs to end or anything yet, and I kind of hope it comes. We'll see.

My job

Today was day 2 of 3 in a row at work for me, and it was a crazy day! As most are. I didn't get a lunch (clocked out for a half hour though, just to save the hassle, ha), and I was there for more than 13 hours, like most days, but it was actually a really good day! It went by way fast (as usual), I really liked who else was working (specifically Colleen was one of my aides, and Erin was charging, and Jules was training to charge, and Mikyla was there, we've become friends), I put in an IV by myself, no one watching, for the 2nd time ever (so excited! on my sweet (sometimes) old lady, Margaret, who had such huge popping veins in her hand I didn't even use a turniquet), but in a dobbhoff tube (with Jules' help), and just learned a lot. I liked my patients, they liked me for the most part, it was sunny outside, it was a holiday so I got to park in the visitor parking.. It was a good day, I really like my job and am so grateful for it!

Christmas pillowcases

For Christmas I made Jamie and Wendy pillowcases, it was so fun to do for them! Here they are, I wanted to remember them. :)

Not sure about Andy.
I went down there on Tues night, hung out with him at school, met some of his school friends, chatted with Joel for a bit (Elder Anderson, he and Andy are in the program together and have become good friends), which was way fun to see him. Then we went and picked up dinner at Zupas (he knows I love Zupas:), then came back to campus and he studied while I blogged. With some kissing in there..
It was fun, and he is a great guy, but I just don't know if we click as much as I wish we did. I dunno. We kissed a lot and I stayed too late, and nothing inappropriate happened necessarily, but I just don't think it is a good use of time. It's too late. I left at about 1 am, and I should have left before then, at like midnight at the latest. I think that's partly why I felt kind of meh after that night, too much kissing, kind of makes me lose interest.
But he's coming up Friday (tomorrow), not sure what we're doing still.
Here's the other thing. One of his school friends he introduced me to on Tues was this guy and I can't even remember his name, but when I met him and was chatting with him a little, and looking at him, inside I was like, "that is what I want." And I was so attracted to him. He was cute, tall, had good shoes, seemed like a fun, good guy. And I felt so guilty thinking all this as I was standing next to Andy..

Jamie and Wendolyn

The three of us want to live together. Wendy has wanted to buy a house for a while now, and since I've been making money and could actually afford to move out now, I want to live with these girls, of course. So our plan was for Wendy to buy a house and we'd all move in together.
But she hasn't had a ton of luck with house hunting. But recently there was a house that we had the opportunity to rent, from this lady that Mark (Jamie's brother) works with, and we went to look at it last week, and its a great house, over in Sugarhouse, would be perfect, so fun to live in together. But she wants the mortgage covered, which is $1450, and so we'd all be paying about $500 with utilities and everything, which is about 100+ more than we all want to spend. So we're not living there, bummer.
But hopefully somewhere else, it would be so fun to live with them, I just love these girls.

Andy update: good date

So that last little mini date was Tues.
Wed I was missing him and so excited to see him Fri. Really interested in him.
By Thurs I was kind of back to being like, "meh." And Friday I was excited for our date, I knew it would be fun, I was excited to go rock climbing, but wasn't significantly feeling it for him.
So last night was Friday, our date, and it was a lot of fun, a fun night. We met his roommate, Randy, and his date at the climbing gym, climbed for a while, I climbed a couple 5.8's, then a 5.9, then back to a 5.7, which was actually really tricky, it had this jut-out part that was really hard to get past. But after climbing the first 5.8 I climbed for a 2nd time (he encouraged me to climb it again right after and see if I could do it faster. So I did, and I did do it faster, it was fun!), and after doing the last one I think, he was really impressed and was like, "that was really attractive." I loved that, haha. But he's way better, of course, he has the pass. He was climbing 5.10c's and stuff, even tried a 5.11a, can't remember if he made it to the top on that one.
But it was really fun. After that we went and ate at Pizza Pie Cafe, which he was craving. But he is so sweet and was really trying to get me to say somewhere that sounded good, but I was up for anything, so he finally just went there. He is so good to me.
Eating there was fun, we had our own little private booth, and sat a cross from each other for most of the time, then at the end he got up and brought his plate around and came and sat by me. Which I loved! I never have loved sitting across from someone on a date for dinner. I just think it's slightly awkward, I've thought that for a few years. So I loved that he came around and sat by me. Then we could kind of cuddle and chat and it was fun. He told me about all his injuries (that we hadn't talked about already) and his scars and what they were from. That was fun to hear all those stories. He's kind of accident prone. Or used to be, ha. But it's okay, I am too. Which maybe isn't the best combo.. Actually, I'm more just clutzy. Yeah. So that's okay.
Then we went to his house and were going to just watch a movie because we were both pretty tired from climbing, but I know what happens when we watch movies, and I didn't really just want to kiss the rest of the night, so I suggested maybe we play a game or something, so he suggested a couple Nintendo games, so he put on on, but it was taking forever to load, so we sat there, he kissed me some, and then he got some lotion and we gave each other hand massages. It was awesome. It was fun to chat as we did. As I was doing him, he asked me about the medical condition I must have mentioned a while ago, so I told him all about the bilateral ureteral reflux that I was born with and all that happened with that until I had surgery, etc.
The game wasn't loading, so we decided to put on Hercules while we waited. We had been debating about a line from the movie, and I was 100% sure I was right (well, maybe 99%), so we watched it, I won the debate, and then ended up watching the whole thing. Then we played some of the game after the movie for a bit, and then I went home. I left at about 12:30 am, which was major progress for us! :)
So yeah, a fun night, he treats me so so well, and I'm really comfortable with him. I just don't know if there is that spark for me. But I'm not worried about it, I'm not stressed or anything, I feel confident that time will tell. And meanwhile we will keep dating and keep seeing how things go. :)

I like Andy again.

So last Friday I left my wallet in Andy's car, so despite his being very willing to bring it up to me over the weekend or even meet me half way, I told him not to worry about it, and I went down there on Tues to get it, and we got to hang out for about an hour and a half. And I kind of feel like it was a little bit of a turning point for me with him. I've thought about him and missed him more than usual since then, and am really excited to see him again on Friday. It wasn't anything crazy that we did, I picked him up from school, we drove to his car where my wallet was, went and got ____, then had thirty min left til I had to go to be up in SL for a mtg with our Bishopric, so we ended up checking out this candy/pop shop right there on that corner that always has different restaurants. It's called Pops and Sweets, I think. Had all kinds of random candies like you would only find in foreign countries, and lots and lots of flavors of soda. We got a couple chocolate candies we'd never had and a white chocolate hot chocolate with raspberry ice cream in it. It was AMAZING. They had a flat screen there in the restaurant that had the movie Twister playing, so we watched some of that while we ate our candies and drank our white hot chocolate and I rubbed his back. It was a really fun quick little date! I really like just seeing him on a normal day, just doing normal things, like the day during his finals that I went down and hung out while he studied, etc.
But he is so good to me, and that really goes a long way. And it was really fun just to hang out for a bit. We flirted, we kissed, we joked around, we chatted. He's so cute how he will steal a kiss when he can. I love it. And I am loving it more and more.
I'm pretty excited about Fri. We're doubling with his roommate Randy, and going rock climbing, which I love.
So we'll see. I still am not sure if we really click like I want to with whoever I marry, but we'll see. Day at a time, still day at a time.

Andy update, been dating for a few weeks

So one of my new year's resolutions is to write in my journal more. So here's to that real quick.

Quick update--I need to go to bed, I'm at Jamie and Wendy's and Jamie and I are ready for bed, we're going to go to the temple tomorrow, and it's already almost 2 am..
But Andy and I are still dating, kind of a funny story since I last wrote about it, how it's happened, but he wasn't sure since then, and so I went down and hung out with him for a day during his finals week, and we talked about things, and at one point he decided that we should probably just pull back for a bit, but still go out when we could, but by the end of the day we decided to just date and see what happened. And we kissed a lot that night. Ha.
So we're dating. And I'm still not sure about him. In fact I don't think we will get married, but I'm still trying to just take one date at a time. I like being with him, he treats me like gold, but when I'm not with him, I'm like, meh. I don't really miss him a ton. And the Provo-Salt Lake thing makes it harder too.
But we're still dating, and I'm not sure how he's feeling about things, he seems to really like me. But then again he probably thinks that's how I'm feeling. Which has been true, until very recently, which is when I started feeling "meh" again.
This dating thing, I just don't know about it.
One date at a time, I have to keep telling myself that.

Goodnight!
